Newcastle boss Eddie Howe says they go to Manchester United on Sunday full of confidence.

Newcastle travel to Old Trafford on the back of a 5-1 win against Brentford.

Howe said: "Winning is so important, it changes everything. The players have trained very well this week. There has been a bounce and a buzz around the group. I'm keen to make sure the dangers that come with winning don't rear their heads - complacency or overconfidence.

"It's a really thin line to get the optimum performance and we have been pushing the group to want more."

Asked if it easier going to Old Trafford in good form, Howe replied: "Yeah, very much so. These games are very difficult at the best of times, but I think if you can go into these games with confidence and with a good feeling in the group it gives you best chance of a positive result.

"We know the next group of games are tough but we are going to attack them and try our best and give our all to get a positive result."
