Incoming Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes will have several tasks on his table.
One of the first jobs he must get through, per The Mail, is to sort out the situation of veteran players.
The likes of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are all out of contract at the end of next season.
The club will have to make a decision about whether to renew them or allow the players to leave this summer.
Veteran squad players Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip are also on the task list, as their deals expire in the summer.
Both are likely to leave at this stage, but the club may decide to offer them renewals.
