
TAWAU: Human skeletal remains were found in a ditch by Jalan Dr Yamamoto, here, on Sunday.
Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the victim’s identity and gender could not be identified as no documents were found.
He said police earlier received a phone call via MERS999 about a decomposing body at a garden near SMK Tawau.
“A police team went to scene and found the body in a ditch next to a vegetable garden near the main road.

Read more “The victim is believed to have died for a long time...the victim was shirtless and wearing black pants,” said Jasmin.
“The body was sent to the Tawau Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
“Investigations are still ongoing and the case is being classified as a sudden death report (SDR),” he added.
