THE Palestinian Government Media Office reported on Monday that Israeli forces have carried out at least 875 breaches of the ceasefire agreement, including 265 incidents of direct fire targeting civilians, 49 military incursions into residential areas, 421 shelling attacks, and 150 cases of home demolitions, according to Anadolu Agency.
Authorities accused Israel of failing to meet its humanitarian obligations under the agreement, highlighting that only 17,819 aid trucks had been allowed entry out of the 42,800 agreed, an average of 244 trucks per day compared with the stipulated 600 per day, representing a compliance rate of just 41 per cent.
Fuel supplies have been even more severely restricted, with only 394 trucks admitted out of 3,650 scheduled deliveries, averaging five trucks per day instead of the 50 required.
“This means the occupying authorities have only fulfilled 10 per cent of the agreed fuel deliveries, leaving hospitals, bakeries, and water and sewage facilities on the brink of collapse and worsening civilian suffering,” the statement said.
The office warned of an unprecedented humanitarian disaster in Gaza, citing Israel’s refusal to allow the entry of tents, mobile homes, caravans, and protective materials as a “clear violation of the agreement and international humanitarian law.”
The recent Israeli-imposed restrictions have compounded the effects of natural disasters, with 46 damaged buildings collapsing during a recent storm, resulting in 15 deaths among Palestinians.
Authorities called for the immediate and safe delivery of humanitarian aid and fuel, as well as the provision of tents, mobile homes, caravans, and protective equipment as stipulated in the ceasefire agreement, to address the mounting crisis in the Gaza Strip.
