
RANAU: State Education Director, Raisin Saidin and Ranau District Officer, Jumain Abd Ghani were among the dignitaries along with hundreds of people who attended the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House, here, Monday.
The open house was organised at one of the educators from SMK Tamparuli, Wasili Bin Idang @ Badin held in in his home in Kg Tungou Ranau 22 km from the town.
Also attending the ceremony were former Ranau District Education Officer, Majus Munsing, Ranau District Welfare Officer, Abdul Himad Abd Hamid, Chairman of SUDC, Jamawi Jaafar, Lawyer, Asmin Nasir and retirees.
The event which was simple but lively and able to foster brotherhood and unity among relatives and friends from Ranau, Tambunan, Keningau and Tenom.

Read more The Open House was preceded by its main event, ‘Bacaan Doa Selamat’ led by Ustaz Rudy Sahibin followed by a feast of food starting at 11am and ending at 5.30pm.
Wasili, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the presence of the guests, relatives, people from far and near who took their time to attend his Hari Raya open house this year.
“Although the ceremony was held in a simple manner, the most important thing was that the relatives can meet at least to say hello, to get to know each other as they rarely meet.
“Events like this are a place for relatives and friends to strengthen friendship without distinguishing their race, religion and political ideology,” said Wasili.
