KUNAK: Police are searching for a 53-year-old foreigner who fled after attacking his wife and daughter with a sharp weapon at Kampung Sungai Langgas early Sunday.
Acting Kunak District Police Chief ASP Reduan Rahman said the 40-year-old wife suffered facial and ear injuries, while their 26-year-old daughter sustained cuts to her face and fingers, with part of her ear severed while trying to protect her mother.
“Both victims were taken to Kunak Hospital before being transferred to Tawau Hospital and are now in stable condition,” he said.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Kunak Police or the nearest station.
The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt.
