THE husband of a woman who died after being flung from a van on the Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) near the Awan Besar rest and service area en route to Petaling Jaya on 6 May is expected to be charged soon, police confirmed today.
Deputy Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad said the investigation paper has been referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action.
“The case is being investigated under Section 304A of the Penal Code for causing death by negligence,” Bernama cited him telling reporters during a blood donation programme held in conjunction with the 218th Police Day at the Kuala Lumpur Police Headquarters.
The victim was found dead by the roadside, with initial investigations suggesting that the fatal incident followed a heated argument between the woman and her husband inside the vehicle.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, Datuk Mohamed Usuf said investigations are ongoing into the discovery of a baby boy’s body in Sungai Klang on 9 May. - May 14, 2025
