Barcelona captain Lionel Messi admits he faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a calf injury in training on Monday.
This injury will keep him out of the team's US tour and he posted a message on social media to reflect on the issue.
"I was keen to get started, but sadly I had a setback in the first training session and it'll keep me out for a little while," Messi wrote on Instagram.
"I thank you for all your messages of support.
"I wanted to be with the team and with those who'll be following us in the USA, but it isn't to be this time.
"We'll see each other soon and I send a hug to all."
