From captivating Christmas ambience to indulging in the succulent flavours of BBQ Thor’s Hammer Angus Beef, the Hyatt Regency Kinabalu brings yet another new experience in this coming festive season.

Its General Manager Thor Gervasi said that this year, like every other year, would have its own uniqueness not only for guests to bask in the ambience of the Christmas spirit but rewarding oneself by feasting like an Asgardian.

AdvertisementAs part of the hotel’s festive celebratory approach, he said one of the highlights would consists of the magnificent Christmas tree that graces the five-storey Atrium at the lounge while at the same time continue their ongoing programme to help the less fortunate individuals.

“As we welcome the festive season, it is with great joy that we celebrate another year of tradition and togetherness. The holiday season holds special significance for our team, as we have the privilege of being a part of cherished moments for both our local guests and those returning from afar to spend time with loved ones.

He encouraged the public to participate in the charitable offerings to support local organizations comprising of Bukit Harapan, Kota Kinabalu (shelter home for disabled kids), Woori Jib, Putatan (a welfare home for orphans) and Rumah Kanak-kanak Bondulu Toboh, Tambunan (home for less privilege children and teenagers).

For the festive celebration, guests will have the opportunity to be entertained by Christmas carollers while enjoying their drinks at The Lounge and hear some of the greatest festive season hits from Dec 21 to 24.

If drinks are not enough, which it usually is not, various dishes are available at the Tanjung Ria Kitchen whether it is beef ribs or baked whole groupa fish, all expertly prepared by Head Chef Adrian and the talented team of culinary professionals at the hotel.

For those preferring to indulge into Japanese food culture, the doors of Nagisa Japanese Restaurant is opened for one to savour a delightful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day set dinner.

To usher into the year 2025, guests are treated with an extravagant New Year buffet at Tanjung Ria Kitchen on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, while a live performance by Amethyst and a dazzling laser show will be leading the countdown party to a toast at The Lounge with a variety of musical genres.
