
PENAMPANG: Fire and rescue workers climbed to the top of a four-story flat at Taman Kendara, here, to rescue a hyperactive child on Monday.
A spokesperson for the Sabah Fire Operations Centre said they received a distress call at 6.57pm and responded with a team of eight from the Penampang Fire and Rescue Station.
“The 12-year-old boy was reported to be hiding somewhere on the rooftop. A team comprising eight personnel made their way up Block D with a steel ladder.
“The victim was found safe without injury. He was brought down and reunited with his family,” she said, adding the operation ended at 8.40pm.
