Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has officially announced a strategic price reduction across the Hyundai Tucson lineup.

Effective immediately, the Hyundai Tucson range will be sold with revised pricing, lowering the entry threshold for the turbocharged and hybrid range by between RM5,088 and RM8,088, bringing new retail figures down to start from RM159,800.

The price adjustment is designed to deliver stronger customer value while keeping vehicle specifications, equipment levels, and onboard safety technologies completely unchanged. The move also aligns with the brand’s customer-first philosophy of being “Sentiasa di sisi anda.”

Revised Hyundai Tucson Price Structure

The updated on-the-road pricing (excluding insurance) across the three available Tucson configurations is structured as follows:

• Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Prime: Now priced at RM159,800 (previously RM164,888, reflecting a RM5,088 reduction).
• Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Prestige AWD: Now priced at RM179,800 (previously RM186,888, reflecting a RM7,088 reduction).
• Hyundai Tucson Prestige HEV: Now priced at RM189,800 (previously RM197,888, reflecting an RM8,088 reduction).

Uncompromised Specifications, Turbo Power, and Hybrid Efficiency

Despite the lower price tags, the Malaysian-market Tucson maintains its complete equipment manifest across all three trims:

• 1.6T Prime (Front-Wheel Drive): Powered by the Smartstream 1.6-litre T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), delivering 180 PS and 265 Nm of torque to the front wheels.
• 1.6T Prestige AWD (All-Wheel Drive): Utilizes the same 1.6-litre turbo powertrain while adding Hyundai’s HTRAC electronic all-wheel-drive system with selectable multi-terrain modes for added grip in challenging driving conditions.
• Prestige HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle): Merges the 1.6-litre T-GDI engine with a 44.2 kW electric motor and a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack, generating a combined system output of 230 PS and 350 Nm of torque for brisk acceleration and lower fuel consumption.
