One of the most elusive things in Malaysia is definitely parking in the more congested areas. So it really bugs us whenever we find an empty spot and someone is standing there, ’chupping’ the parking.

A Malaysian actress by the name of Elvina Mohamad had recently come across such a person and had taken a video of the ’phenomenon’ and uploaded it onto TikTok.

The video went viral with 2.9 million views and had more than 180,000 likes.

Tak sangka eh masih ada orang buat macam ni, nak COP2 PARKING! Kita ni punya laa 3 4 kali round cari and tunggu parking. Lepas tu senang2 dia je dia berdiri situ nak cop parking untuk kawan dia. Lepas tu menipu cakap dah berdiri lama padahal kami dari awal memang dah tunggu nak park situ lepas kereta lain keluar dr parking. Ikut kan hati je nak maki! Haihhh geramm rasa!

In the short clip, we hear Elvina ask in a calm voice, “since when can we chup parking?” to which the woman answered, “I did not chup,” and proceeded to instruct her friend on parking.

Elvina repeated the question and the other woman got angry and raised the pitch and volume of her voice.

“I stood here for a long time already, what’s the matter with you?”

The actress said that the woman stood there to chup the parking and the woman in question just ignored her.

In the caption, Elvina said that they have been rounding the area to find parking several times before seeing someone move to the car.

“She lied and said that she stood there for a long time but we were there first and was waiting for the car to get out of the spot.”

Many netizens were condemning the woman for doing “human parking” at the vacant spot.

“There are humans like this. I have met them. I was so angry that I swore at them in the car.”

Another netizen asked to give the woman a taste of her own medicine.

“Sis, just park right next to the driver’s door. Then they can’t come out.”

One helpful netizen brought up that it is actually illegal to “chup” parkings.
