A TikToker from Thailand, Yui, developed a weakened immunity system after overworking for a long period. Yui recently passed away due to complications caused by severe drug allergies.

Yui initially went to the hospital for treatment because of swollen lymph nodes in her neck, but in December 2024, she was hospitalised because of a severe allergic reaction.

She developed symptoms such as rash, high fever, and swollen lymph nodes, which then developed into pneumonia, and had to rely on a heart-lung machine while waiting for a lung transplant.

Her condition deteriorated since then.

In a Facebook post, medical experts pointed out that Yui was suffering from Steven Johnson Syndrome (SJS) – a rare and fatal skin disease, that can usually come with widespread pain on the skin. SJS is so rare that it occurs only in two to seven cases per a million people, reported Sin Chew.

Yui posted on her TikTok account @mos8299, revealing that her whole body was covered with ulcers and pus, and she said in pain,

“I never thought that this life would be painful and tormenting. If I can get rid of this, I don’t want to have anything in this life, I don’t want to get anything anymore.

“I don’t want to be rich anymore, I really just want to survive, be safe and sound, watch my children grow up, and be able to take care of my parents,” she added.
