One of the incidents that tug at our heartstrings even to this day is the disappearance of MH370 and it’s been 10 years since then.
Recently, Transport Minister Anthony Loke has said that a Texas-based company, Ocean Infinity has proposed to the government about a new search of the missing plane.
According to BERNAMA, it will be on a ‘no find, no fee’ policy and this will be discussed further in parliament.
News of a new search that will be conducted with state-of-the-art techniques and equipment will certainly make the family and friends of the victims have high hopes.

However, PM Anwar has asked them to not have such high hopes, according to BERNAMA.
“I do not want to give them a false hope that we can secure an answer. But I want to convince them that we are doing everything possible.”
He adds that the government will be committed to looking for an answer to this mystery even if it “costs a substantial amount.”
“I cannot understand, in this day and age, how a huge steel facility like that can just disappear.”

The prime minister also said that they will be making a decision in the coming weeks on the new search after reviewing the proposal by Ocean Infinity.
On the evening of 8 March 2014, MH370 left the Kuala Lumpur International Airport for Beijing with 239 people on board but vanished from the radar screen about two hours after its departure.
