Being a food delivery rider has its own obstacles, and while some riders use their earnings as a secondary source of income, others rely solely on them to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads.

After receiving appalling treatment in the corporate office of an online food ordering company, where he was fired without being given the chance to defend himself, a former food delivery rider going by the name of Logesh relates his sorrowful story on TikTok.

Logesh claimed that shortly before he was ready to leave the headquarters after running some errands, one of the staff had called upon him. The staff, whom he only knows as "Razak," promptly chastised him and questioned him about his mistakes. Then, Logesh acknowledged that he had once loaned a friend his rider ID. He was shocked when the staff sacked him right away and suspended his rider ID permanently. Logesh, perplexed by the unexpected decision, sought to persuade him to maintain his ID because it was his only source of income.

Logesh also disclosed that out of desperation, he even knelt at the employee's feet and begged him to keep his job because he is the only one in the family making money and needs to take care of his parents, who are unemployed, and his siblings, who are still enrolled in university.

He admitted that he has since slipped into depression over this incident and hoped that the company could practice kindness towards people like him, especially since he had helped create content for the company's social media platform which reached over a million engagement.

Do watch Logesh's full video depicting the whole incident below, to know the story through his own words:
