KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 — Actress-model Julia Fox has given a glimpse into her brief relationship with controversial rapper Kanye West.
The Uncut Gems actress dated West between January and February this year and made headlines in tabloids.
In an interview with Los Angeles Times, Fox said that she initially thought her whirlwind romance with West could blossom into something real as she felt she knew him on a ‘visceral level’.
However, Fox claimed that she was being used to go against West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian during their relationship.
“I thought ultimately I’d be helping a precarious situation, but I learned very quickly that I was being weaponised.
“I just felt like his little puppet,” she said.
Fox added that her relationship with West which garnered media attention at the time also affected her professional life as she claimed she missed out on opportunities.
“It really wasn’t that big of a deal, but other people made it such a big deal.
“I know for a fact I've been up for certain things and couldn't do it because of dating Kanye. It's kind of wild,” she said.
Fox in the midst of releasing her memoir Down the Drain in which she described her relationship with West ‘lightly’ in the book.
In February 2021, Kardashian filed for divorce from West which was finalised in November 2022.
The pair had four children together.
