SEMPORNA: Warisan president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal said he would contact Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) leaders if his party won more than 15 of the 25 parliamentary seats in Sabah in the general election (GE15).

“(I will contact) my friends from GPS, not formally, just to talk about what we want to fight for, (regarding) these two regions (so that) our rights can be fulfilled,” he told reporters after casting his vote at SK Bubul here.

Meanwhile, Shafie said Warisan would respect the outcome of GE15, no matter how it turns out.

“Sometimes we win, sometimes we don’t win. We can’t say that the people are wrong, they are just exercising their rights,” he said.
