A fresh graduate has set Malaysian social media alight after sharing that his biggest financial worry is having too much money left over at the end of every month.

The confession, posted on X by user @meinmokhtar, revealed that the graduate earns RM7,000 a month and carries very few financial commitments.
His parents cover his housing and car, leaving him to spend mainly on daily food.

Treating friends and double gym memberships

On top of his daily expenses, he occasionally treats his friends when they go out.
He also holds two active gym memberships running at the same time, one with Anytime Fitness and one with Fitness First.

Even with all of that, money continues to pile up faster than he can spend it.

“I’m also getting stressed like this,” he wrote.

Netizens were not sympathetic

The post drew strong reactions from those dealing with the opposite problem.
Many pointed out that struggling to spend excess money was a far cry from the reality most Malaysians face, particularly those trying to stretch a much smaller salary through the month.

Save it, others say

Some took a more practical stance and encouraged him to start saving, noting that many people earning far less are still managing to put money aside consistently.

Others suggested channeling the extra income toward meaningful causes, such as donating to animal shelters or purchasing supplies for smaller hospitals that are often under-resourced.

Just enjoy it while it lasts

A few commenters took a lighter approach, telling him to make the most of this season of life before bigger financial responsibilities eventually come knocking.
