Los Angeles [US], June 26 (ANI) : Reality television personality West Wilson has, for the first time, publicly confirmed his exit from the Bravo series 'Summer House', weeks after reports emerged that he would not be returning for the show's upcoming eleventh season amid his much-talked-about romance with co-star Amanda Batula, according to E! News.
Wilson, a sports journalist who joined the series in 2024 during its eighth season, confirmed the reports while appearing on the recent episode of the Broadcast Boys podcast. "I wanted to tell it on my own but that is true," he said, addressing his departure publicly for the first time. He added that, in hindsight, his continued presence on the show may not have made for ideal viewing. "But in their defense, I don't think it would have been a fun summer," Wilson said.
His exit comes after his former partner Ciara Miller confronted him and Amanda Batula during the season 10 reunion earlier this month over their relationship, which the couple had kept under wraps before confirming it publicly on March 31. Batula had announced her divorce from husband of four years, Kyle Cooke, in January.
While the couple had reportedly struggled to address certain questions during the reunion taping, Wilson used the podcast appearance to clarify the timeline of when their relationship became physical, according to E! News.
Wilson also responded to speculation that he and Batula went public with their relationship after an alleged video surfaced showing them together inside his New York City apartment. "I haven't seen it but I've heard from credible sources it does [exist]," he said, adding, "It's very illegal, I'd like to note." He went on to describe what he had been told about the video's origin.
Despite the controversy surrounding the relationship's reveal, Wilson indicated that things between him and Batula, 34, are progressing steadily. He confirmed he has already met her parents, describing them warmly and singling out her father. "Lovely," he said of her parents, calling Frank Batula "great," according to E! News.
Asked to envision where he would be in two years, Wilson signalled long-term intentions with Batula, replying simply: "In Amanda's backyard," according to E! News. (ANI)
