IPOH: Teluk Intan MP Nga Kor Ming (pix) announced a contribution, totaling RM40,000 for 20 mosques in the constituency.
Nga, who is Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker, announced the allocation at a breaking of fast at As-Saadah Mosque, Kampung Bahagia, near Teluk Intan yesterday.
The recipients of the allocation are Masjid As-Saadah; Surau Diri Jumaat Hidayatul Islamiah; Masjid Daerah Sultan Idris Shah II; Masjid India Muslim; Masjidun Naim; Masjid Nurul Hijrah; Masjidut Taqwa; Masjid As Saadah: Masjid Al Hairiah; Masjid Jamek Kampung Batak Rabit; Masjid Abdul Salam Al Mas’ud.
Masjid Taman Desa Bakti; Surau Diri Jumaat Alyahyawiah; Masjid Al-Maidah; Masjid Jamek Kampung Ayer Hitam; Masjid Jamek Kampung Bharu Changkat Jong; Masjid Annur; Masjid Ahmad Saifudin Iskandar; Masjid Jamek Ladang Ulu Bernam and Masjid Shamsul Maarif.
The contribution is for the recipients concerned to carry out activities during Ramadan and for Aidilfitri, he said in a statement here today. - Bernama
