Real Madrid president Florentino Prez is making the pursuit of Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz a personal project.
That's according to AS's Tomas Roncero, who says Florentino is determined to bring Ruiz back to the LaLiga.
He told Radio Punto Nuevo: "At Real Madrid, they know that they have lost a great opportunity with Fabian Ruiz for 30m.
"With Ruiz and (Dani) Ceballos, they could have had the new (Andres) Iniesta and Xavi of the world football. Real is aware of having made a major mistake.
"After the last U21 Euros, Real were very interested. Florentino Perez is in love with Fabian. He will be a pillar of Spain, he will form a formidable duo with Ceballos. The destiny of the Real depends on Napoli. For Real, it's now complicated, even if Florentino is to restore a Spanish soul to the team."
