MANILA, Philippines — The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Tuesday turned over to the Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) the two luxury vehicles surrendered by former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) engineer Brice Hernandez.

In a statement, the ICI said the vehicles, a black GMC Yukon Denali XL and a navy blue Lamborghini Urus Performante, were voluntarily surrendered by Hernandez to the ICI on Sept. 19 and Sept. 24, 2025, respectively.

"The transfer of custody of the vehicles forms part of the documents, evidence and findings gathered from the ICI’s investigation earlier transmitted to the OMB on March 13, 2026," the ICI said.

Hernandez, among the controversial figures in the flood control scandal, has been detained at the Quezon City Jail in Payatas since January.
