TechFin model and Carbon-Neutral Computing Services (CNCS) align with new ESG, MyHIJAU, and green financing incentives

Bursa Malaysia Ace Market-listed ICT Zone Asia Berhad (“ICT Zone Asia” or the “Company”), Malaysia’s pioneer in Technology Financing (“TechFin”) solutions, today expressed its support for the government’s Budget 2026, which emphasises carbon accountability, ESG integration, and green technology incentives as key pillars for national growth.

The Group believes the newly announced carbon tax framework, Green Technology Financing Scheme (GTFS) 5.0, and enhanced MyHIJAU incentives for certified green products will accelerate Malaysia’s transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable economy — and create new opportunities for businesses providing climate-aligned solutions.

Commenting on the Budget, Mr. Tommy Lim Kok Kwang, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICT Zone Asia Berhad, said:

“Budget 2026 sends a powerful message that sustainability is now a core driver of Malaysia’s economic competitiveness. The introduction of carbon pricing, green tax incentives and expanded financing support will push more organisations to adopt sustainable technologies — and ICT Zone is ready to support this transformation.”

He added:

“Our Carbon-Neutral Computing Services (CNCS) and MyHIJAU-certified Device-as-a-Service (DaaS 360) already align with the policies announced in the budget. Through our TechFin model, we make it easy for companies to upgrade to green-certified ICT solutions without heavy upfront costs, while achieving measurable carbon reductions and ESG compliance.”

Under its Everything-as-a-Service (XaaS) model, ICT Zone provides subscription-based access to ICT hardware, software, and cloud solutions supported by lifecycle management, refurbishment, and carbon-offset mechanisms. These services directly complement Malaysia’s Budget 2026 goals of promoting green financing, circular economy practices, and ESG integration across industries.

ICT Zone’s CNCS programme, developed in collaboration with HP, helps businesses achieve carbon neutrality in ICT operations by extending device lifecycles, refurbishing and remarketing used assets, and offsetting emissions through verified carbon credits.

With its ISO 14001:2015 certification, EcoVadis sustainability rating, and participation in the MyHIJAU Mark programme, ICT Zone is among the few Malaysian technology companies already operating in full alignment with the government’s new ESG direction.
