Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams has revealed the advice he got from the club's coaches ahead of the game against Partizan Belgrade.
Williams started as a left wing-back for United and earned the man-of-the-match award in a 1-0 away Europa League win.
His manager also singled out the 19-year-old for praise after the game.
"I just remember before the game they told me to get at the full back and I just knew and so I took it down the line and waited for the foul to come," Williams told MUTV after the 1-0 win.
He also admitted that he enjoyed playing wing back, rather than in a flat back four.
Williams said: "It gives me more chance to advance forward which I like doing but also get back and defend, which I like doing as well, so it's a good formation for me."
