Ikea Malaysia has been recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for the Most Curry Puffs Sold in a Year, with 8.6 million curry puffs sold nationwide.

For three decades, Ikea Malaysia curry puffs have been more than just a quick bite. They have become part of Malaysians’ everyday routines, from post-shopping treats to shared moments with family and friends.

Ikea Malaysia country retail director Malcolm Pruys said it is offering food that is affordable, accessible and made with quality in mind.

“We continue to make quality products and continue to bring the prices down,” he said at the Malaysia Book of Records recognition ceremony at Ikea Damansara today.

Celebrating the Malaysia Book of Records achievement, the curry puffs are available at RM1 per piece and RM5.50 for a pack of six pieces for a week. It is normally sold at RM1 per piece and RM7.80 for a pack of six pieces.

From national record to nationwide celebration Malaysians can join

Building on this milestone, Ikea Malaysia is inviting Malaysians to be part of the celebration through its #IKEAripapYourWay campaign.

Inspired by the Malaysia Book of Records achievement, the campaign encourages Malaysians to create and share their own playful, over-the-top “records” with Ikea curry puffs turning a national milestone into thousands of personal ones.
