SHAH ALAM, March 5 - An unnamed premises in Port Klang was raided yesterday by the Selangor Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) over suspected misappropriation of 1kg polybag cooking oil.

According to the agency, a joint operation with other authorities found that the premises stored controlled goods without a valid permit, licence, or authorisation letter from the supply controller.

“The case is now being investigated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961 for possessing controlled items with intent to commit an offence or trade without a valid licence,” the KPDN said in a statement today.

The agency emphasised that it will not compromise with any party attempting to divert controlled goods for easy profit.
