Demonstrating their commitment to community healthcare even on Mother’s Day, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Dharamsala organised a Sunday OPD at IMA Bhawan. During the camp, 35 patients, including children and elderly citizens, were examined and provided medical consultation.
The initiative witnessed a good response from the public despite the holiday, with residents appreciating the availability of specialist doctors on a Sunday.
The Sunday OPD initiative, launched through the efforts of IMA Dharamshala president Dr Atul Gupta, is proving especially beneficial for senior citizens and children who often find it difficult to visit hospitals during regular working days.
Specialist doctors from various fields offered consultation and health awareness. Those providing services included orthopedic specialist Dr Rajeev Kapila, surgeon Dr Ankit Shukla, physician Dr Kavita Thakur, gynecologist Dr Kamal Singh and pediatric endocrinologist Dr Atul Gupta.
“For the convenience of the public, Sunday OPD services are being conducted every Sunday from 11 am to 1 pm at IMA Bhawan, Dharamshala. We appeal to the public to avail maximum benefits of these healthcare services,” said Dr Gupta.
