
Kota Kinabalu: An imam who helped exhume the remains of 13-year-old Zara Qairina Mahathir in Sipitang said her body was still preserved, a moment captured in a TikTok video that has since gone viral.
The imam, who was one of the grave diggers, was interviewed by a TikToker and described what he witnessed during the exhumation on Saturday evening.
“There was no foul smell (tidak ada bau busuk). The body was still preserved (jenazah masih utuh).

The TikTok post also carried a caption that read: “Allah has protected your body more than all of us fighting for your name, dear.
“It is as if your body was ready to be lifted again for the truth to be revealed.”
The video has drawn thousands of comments, with many expressing sympathy and urging justice over the teen’s death.
