Kota Kinabalu: The Immigration Department is ready to issue 10-year passports after a feasibility study deemed it suitable for the country.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail will be making an announcement on the matter soon.
He said Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore have already implemented it alongside Europe and the USA.
He said this when launching the country's first airport Immigrations office at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport on Friday.
