
The King was bathed in sunshine and took to the waters in Bermuda as he basked in the acclaim of what was perceived to be a successful visit to the United States.
Charles flew to Bermuda on Thursday evening after concluding his state visit to the US and inspected an honour guard on his first full day in the British overseas territory.
In a busy day, he chatted with yachtsmen, a dance troupe and took to the sea with the Coast Guard.






His visit to the US came at a time of tension between the UK and its long-time ally.
However, on his first day in Bermuda any political issues were overshadowed by the more usual routine of engagements and walkabouts.
