LABUAN: The proposal by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to set up an independent panel to look into misconduct of enforcement agencies is a good step in the light of some such units in Sabah who are seen as not doing their job or being involved in criminal activities.
Such a panel could ensure that there is no cover-up, said activists.
Former Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Datuk Hiew King Cheu said it is one way of also cleaning the stables or get rid of deadwood in various enforcement units.
