Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has said the people of India have witnessed transformation across all sectors under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. While every PM has worked with their own intent and vision, Modi’s tenure has brought India a new global identity, he said, adding that Modi had set the record of being the longest-serving PM in the country’s history.
Addressing a press conference, the CM said India’s voice was strongly heard on global platforms, such as G20, BRICS, and the UN, where the country was playing a decisive role. He highlighted the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in J&K as a realisation of the dream of an integrated India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. During Operation Sindoor, the world witnessed India’s indigenous technological and defence capabilities, while Operation Mahadev ensured that the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack were brought to justice, he said.
Due to the strong decisions of the Central government, the dream of a Naxal-free India was progressing rapidly, and internal security had been strengthened through a crackdown on terrorism, he said. Landmark steps like the surgical strikes, air strikes, OROP, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, and the CAA had also been implemented, he said. Achievements such as Chandrayaan-3, Aditya-L1 mission, and preparations for the Gaganyaan mission reflected the country’s scientific capability and technological confidence, he added.
In 2014, India was the 11th largest economy, whereas today, it was moving towards becoming the fourth largest economy. Despite pandemic, wars, economic slowdown, and supply chain disruptions, India remained the fastest-growing major economy, he stated. One of the biggest achievements of the PM’s 12-year tenure was the digital revolution. Through UPI, India was leading in digital payments, accounting for nearly 56% of global digital transactions. Through Direct Benefit Transfer, over Rs 51 lakh crore had been transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts. — TNS
