We thought we’d seen it all with boba fries and rainbow bagels, but the food world just keeps proving us wrong.

If you’ve ever wondered what coffee, milk, and fried instant noodles would taste like in one glorious (or terrifying?) concoction, an Indonesian café has the answer.

That café is Bilik Rumah Coffee, which rolled out a drink that’s equal parts bold and baffling—a latte topped with Indomie, the nation’s favourite fried instant noodles. Yep, coffee and noodles in one cup.

Launched on August 17, this drink is the stuff of viral internet fodder, combining sugar water, milk, ice, and coffee, finished with a generous pile of fried instant noodles.

For that extra pizzazz, the noodles are sprinkled with fried onion crumbs, slices of red chilli, and a wedge of calamansi lime.

Unconventional? Absolutely. Delicious? Well, that’s up for debate.

Naturally, this peculiar pairing didn’t escape the internet’s ever-watchful eye. A TikTok video by @mr_m.a_ showcasing the drink went viral, and the comments section became a battleground of sarcasm, shock, and amusement.

One sarcastically proposed levelling it up:
“Add cheese and mustard… Don’t forget the fried onions!”

Another saw divine intervention in the works:
“More and more people are being reminded to turn to God… Alhamdulillah.”

And a third didn’t hold back about the health implications:
“Looks like hospitals will be fuller now.”
