
Kota Kinabalu: Indonesian children from 42 community learning centres (CLCs) in Sabah took part in the 7th Indonesian Children’s Jamboree in Malaysia (Jaim 7) in Gilwell Nature, Sandakan.
This annual event held from Oct 16 to 20, involved 569 Indonesian children Scouts, aged 12 to 15, along with 81 teachers serving as Scouts Coaches in Sabah.
The Scouts activities focus on outbound and life skills, character-building, with annual Jamboree meetings such as the JAIM, said Consulate General of Indonesia Kota Kinabalu, Consul (Social and Cultural Function) Machdaniar Nisfah.
