It was heartwarming to learn from my colleague, COO Global Sejahtera in London, Yazdi Jehangir Bankwala on his involvement as one of the Panelists in evaluating the students of MSc International & Management Live Industry Research Project at the University of Portsmouth London. Yazdi who is the Industry Educator analyzed a live international business case and interacted with impactful business leaders in United Kingdom like the Founder & CEO of GridMats, Dr. Prathap B. According to MSc Program Leader, Prof Deb Sengupta, “Over the past eight weeks, our students worked on a strategic challenge for GridMats, analyzing the company's potential entry into the UK market and developing evidence-based recommendations on market opportunities, entry strategies, marketing approaches, and regulatory considerations. Students then presented their key findings to a panel comprising both industry leaders and academicians. The panel provided valuable feedback, highlighting the importance of critical thinking, research rigor, industry engagement, and actionable business insights.”
Prof Deb added, “What I particularly value about projects such as these is that they allow students to experience the realities of consulting and strategic decision-making. Rather than analyzing a case study from the past, students work on current business challenge where their findings, recommendations have the potential to shape real organizational decisions. My sincere thanks to the panelists for making this lively project such a rewarding experience.”
Yazdi revealed that, "How amazing for a student to experience to analyze a live international business case of GridMats and interact with with a panel of experts. Such a learning outcome is beyond the capability of AI. What a joy to be part of such a learning initiative. This also enhances my earlier role as Industry Fellow with Malaysian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship & Business at University Malaysia Kelantan, when Prof Dr. Roselina was the Dean.
