Real Madrid president Florentino Perez blocked a summer move for Liverpool striker Sadio Mane, it has been revealed.
Real coach Zinedine Zidane, it has been claimed, had Mane's commitment before the end of season 2017/18, only for the Frenchman to quit his job.
The well-connected Soccer Link says Zidane went back to Mane last season and was confident the Senegal star would make the move.
However, Florentino rejected the prospect of pursuing a deal for Mane with the Reds.
The president argued with Zidane that having already signed Eden Hazard, there was no reason to also bring Mane to the club.
