LAHAD DATU: The Mystical Bayu 2025 programme is set to offer a new lens into the district’s landscapes and community life through a curated familiarisation trip focusing on Segama.
Organised by Seri Borneo Resources with KRA4 and Tourism Malaysia, the three-day initiative will feature Segama’s natural attractions, cultural experiences and local lifestyle.
A group of Sabah influencers, including Sakinah Vs Ondu, Syaiful Zero, Saful Maun, Edwan Abo and Qahirah, will join the programme to help widen the district’s tourism reach.
Seri Borneo Managing Director Mariati Uttok said Segama was chosen for its caves, riverside scenery and potential for homestay growth, adding that the programme would also introduce nearby areas such as Silam and Tungku.
She said the effort aims not only to promote tourism but also to equip local youth with event and tourism management skills, while encouraging more visitors to appreciate Segama’s blend of nature, culture and community spirit.
