RANAU: A 28-year-old female climber was rescued after injuring her left leg while descending Mount Kinabalu near the Layang-Layang checkpoint on Wednesday.

The Mount Search and Rescue (Mosar) team received an emergency call from a mountain guide reporting the incident around 6.50am.

A six-member team from the Ranau Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the site at 7.20am, located about 1km from the station.
