INLD national president Abhay Singh Chautala has written to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, demanding the withdrawal of restrictions imposed on public rallies, protests and demonstrations through a June 10 directive issued by the Chief Minister’s Office.
Chautala termed the order “extremely unfortunate”, alleging it effectively prevents Opposition parties from holding public meetings, protests and rallies until September, thereby undermining the democratic rights of citizens. Reiterating the party’s stand, he said: “INLD opposes such unjust orders and demands that the government withdraw this order immediately.”
