Kota Kinabalu: Over 100 entrepreneurs from all over Sabah benefited from a seminar on “Transformasi Perniagaan Dengan E-Invois: Penetapan ke Dalam Strategi Pembangunan Lestari dan ESG”. (Business Transformation with E-Invoice: Integration into Sustainable Development Strategies and ESG).

It was organised by the Sabah Women Entrepreneurs & Professionals Association (Swepa) and funded by Sabah Women’s Affairs Department or Jabatan Hal Ehwal Wanita Sabah (Jhewa).

AdvertisementOrganising Chairperson Michelle Voo said the seminar aimed to increase awareness and understanding of e-invoicing, a system recently implemented by the Malaysian government, and its integration into sustainable development strategies and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

Officiated by the Director of JHEWA, Hajah Haslina Ismail, the event featured four guest speakers who addressed key topics essential to modern business operations.

In her address, Haslina congratulated Swepa on winning the “Top50 Professional & Career Women Global Awards - Fourteenth Edition 2024,” recently.

Participants were given practical insights into e-invoicing through demonstrations on the MyInvois portal and discussions on its potential to streamline operations while contributing to sustainable growth.

The seminar also emphasised how businesses could align with ESG goals to remain competitive and responsible in the evolving market landscape.

SWEPA President Karen Wong delivered the closing remarks, highlighting the importance of equipping entrepreneurs with tools to adapt to government policies while fostering sustainable business practices.

The seminar concluded with a lively lucky draw session, adding excitement and camaraderie to an impactful day of learning.
