Instagram launches new feature for sending disappearing photos to friends

  • Instagram has launched Instants, a quick way to share spontaneous and unfiltered photos with friends
  • These photos will disappear after being viewed, cannot be screenshotted, are saved in the user’s archive for up to a year and can be reshared to Stories
  • Followers can react to photos with emojis, reply with messages, or send an Instant in return
  • Photos cannot be edited and must be taken directly using Instagram’s in-app camera.
  • To access Instants, users can tap the mini photo stack in the bottom-right corner of their Instagram inbox.
