Kota Kinabalu: The Institute for Development Studies (IDS) has established a distribution centre for ready-to-eat meal packs (MRE), known as D-Hub, to support disaster victims through volunteers and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

This initiative, managed and governed by IDS in collaboration with NGOs, aligns with the government’s commitment to mitigating the impact of disasters on local communities, particularly in Penampang and Kota Kinabalu.

“The D-Hub serves as a storage facility for MRE meals, activated when a major disaster is declared by the authorities.
