Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi says he's spent the summer analysing last season's title collapse.

The Nerazzurri won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Supercup but could not retain the Scudetto, finishing two points behind AC Milan.

“We have analysed what happened," said Inzaghi. "The last game has remained in our hearts for the support of our fans. We faced a team that was better than us, so we must improve.

“Tomorrow, we start a new season with many teams that have the ambition to win. We are focused on Lecce, a newly-promoted side who have enthusiasm. They have a prepared coach, but we must win."

Inzaghi insisted that he is still 'proud' of Inter's results last season.

“We were united and we worked hard to win trophies. We made it, but now we must look ahead. It will be a tough and strange season because of the World Cup."
