Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi hailed matchwinner Lautaro Martinez after their Champions League semifinal win.
Lautaro struck for the 1-0 defeat of AC Milan as they won 3-0 on aggregate.
Inzaghi, asked if Lautaro has Ballon d'Or potential, said: "Clearly yes, he's still a young player, with lots of qualities, he's not just a finisher and he works a lot for the team.
"Tonight he was great in both phases. I'm happy to coach him, it was a fantastic evening, a bit tarnished by the (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan's injury: let's hope it's not serious, he's a very important player in our economy.
"I'd be sorry... He earned the chance to play two finals on the pitch."
