Inter Milan legend Alessandro Altobelli feels Lautaro Martinez can go to a new level.
Altobelli believes the club captaincy will boost Lautaro.
He told Interista: "You know how much I've always doted on Lautaro. After the World Cup, he's definitely another player, becoming World Champion marked him.
"The armband let's say that it suits him perfectly because it has made him even more responsible. And in my opinion it exalts him.
"If we look at the candidates, well: (Samir) Handanovic will play less and less in favour of (Andre) Onana. (Marcelo) Brozovic and (Nicolo) Barella are the other 'antagonists', probably. I say that Lautaro has the makings and calibre to wear the armband captain.
"As I said, he would be responsible and would make him grow more and more. And he is already improving year by year. Today he is already very strong and growing."
