KOTA KINABALU: International delegates attending the RSPO Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RT2025) post-tour visited the Sungai Pin Conservation Area (SPnCA) to see Sabah’s ongoing forest restoration and wildlife protection efforts.

Managed by SKG Green Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Sawit Kinabalu Group, the site promotes biodiversity alongside sustainable palm oil development. About 30 delegates from several countries joined the river cruise and briefing on SKG Green’s sustainability work.

Chief executive officer Philipa Datuk Wilfred Mojilis said the SPnCA reflects the company’s commitment to balancing palm oil development with conservation through partnerships with government agencies, NGOs and local communities.

Delegates spotted wildlife such as a wild orangutan, proboscis monkeys and hornbills during the visit, which concluded with a presentation on SKG Green’s conservation collaborations and sustainability awareness initiatives.
