International HR Day highlights the role of HR academes, consultants, professionals, practitioners, and scholars in shaping inclusive work environments, managing digital transformation, and prioritizing employee wellbeing, acting as the essential bridge between organizational goals and employee needs. I realized championing the human experience at the workplaces become heavily digitalized, HR professionals anchor organizations by ensuring empathy, trust, and inclusivity remain central to the employee experience. HR is critical in implementing talent management strategies for business development. (https://internationalhrday.org)
As a veteran HR practitioner and former President of Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) supporting employee wellbeing, I strongly believe that HR professionals must advocate for workplace mental health, work-life balance, and continuous career development. Therefore, the HR day provides a moment to acknowledge a demanding profession. Research indicates that HR work can be emotionally exhausting, making this day an important opportunity to recognize our resilience & sacrifice. I understand most organizations use this occasion to celebrate their HR teams contributions.

Based on my five decades of practicing and teaching experience, I found an HR strategy is an organization's plan to align its HR practices with its overall businesses goals and objectives. An HR strategy is an important tool for organizations because it helps them plan for and manage their human capital effectively to support their overall business objectives. For the employees, an HR strategy can clarify the HR function's in supporting their career success.

I anticipate the future of HR is transitioning from administrative & compliance-focused tasks to becoming a highly strategic, AI-driven business partner. HR is evolving to focus on redesigning work, human-centric leadership & data analytics to optimize the employee experience in remote & hybrid environment. The most significant trends defining the future of the HR profession on employee wellbeing has expanded from traditional benefits to real comprehensive physical, mental & financial wellness. HR teams need to design personalized career paths, flexible work-life integration to attract and retain top talent.
