In case you missed it, Apple has finally rolled out the red carpet for the iPhone 16e. Touted as the “budget” offering of the iPhone 16 lineup, the iPhone 16e is…well, not as budget-friendly as you might have imagined.
To cut straight to the chase, Apple Malaysia has confirmed that the iPhone 16e will be available in three configurations: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. The official prices of each model are as follows:
- iPhone 16e (128GB) – RM2,999
- iPhone 16e (256GB) – RM3,499
- iPhone 16e (512GB) – RM4,499
Availability-wise, Apple Malaysia states that pre-orders for the iPhone 16e will begin on 21 February 2025 at 9PM local time. The phone will be available in stores a week later, starting 28 February 2025.

You can read our full coverage of the iPhone 16e here. As a brief recap, Apple’s newest addition sports the A18 chipset, which is also found also on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. According to Apple, this enables the phone to run Apple Intelligence, lending it a suite of AI features including Clean Up tool, Genmoji, and Writing Tools.
The iPhone 16e is equipped with a single 48MP camera with an integrated 2x telephoto lens. On the front, it houses a 12MP TrueDepth camera system that supports Face ID.
For visuals, the 16e relies on a 6.1″ Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology and 60Hz refresh rate.
Following the footsteps of its premium siblings, the iPhone 16e will charge via USB-C. Alternatively, the phone also supports wireless charging with compatible wireless charging docks.
According to Apple, the iPhone 16e offers “breakthrough battery life”, claiming it lasts up to 12 hours longer than all previous generations of the iPhone SE models.
The phone is available in two matte finishes, Black and White.
