So, Apple’s annual big show was done, and the iPhone 17 series has been revealed, alongside the “thinnest iPhone ever created,” crowned with the name of iPhone Air (seems like a sub model and not part of the main numbered family).

We’ll start with the base model iPhone 17, hosting a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion and powered by the A19 chip. As expected, the camera got buffed heavily through the new 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide alongside the 48MP Main with an integrated 2x telephoto option.

At the front, the Centre Stage camera debuts with an 18MP sensor that automatically expands and reframes for group selfies and video calls. Honestly, this is really cool and nice. And this time, the frame wraps the overall more durable body through Ceramic Shield 2, while cutting borders and uplifting max brightness to 3000nits.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro hosts an aerospace-grade aluminium unibody that integrates an Apple-designed vapor chamber for better thermal management, allowing the A19 Pro chip to run at peak performance while extending battery life.

The 3x 48MP Fusion camera system is now stronger than ever, allowing 8x optical-quality zoom on iPhone to deliver pro-quality photos and videos that is suitable even for work.

It also features the Ceramic Shield 2 back protection, tougher displays with 3000-nit brightness, and new pro video tools like ProRes RAW, Log 2, and genlock for synchronised multi-cam workflows.

And of course, there’s the Pro Max version with a bigger screen and the rest of the stuff being identical to the Pro, as usual.

Finally, the US$1000+ “single back camera” iPhone is here – the 5.6mm iPhone Air running a thin titanium build hosting a trio of new chips – the A19 Pro for general purpose processing, N1 for wireless connectivity, and the new C1X modem.

The Air’s 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display features the same 3000-nit brightness and ProMotion technology as the rest of the series, while the 48MP back camera sits alone by itself compared to the “Club 17 boys”.

The front side uses an 18MP Centre Stage front camera, and there’s other notable stuff like “intelligent power management for prolonged battery life”, and full eSIM support even in Malaysia.

All 4 models ship with iOS 26, which introduces Apple’s latest Apple Intelligence features. That includes Live Translation for text and audio, a redesigned Liquid Glass interface, and new tools for managing calls, messages, and screenshots.
