It’s been a busy few weeks for Apple. Last month, the tech giant launched the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12 and some new AirPods. Then earlier this week, it unveiled a host of new products for the home, including a rival to the Amazon Echo Show in the form of the HomeView. But, at long last, Apple’s first foldable phone is upon us.
Pre-orders for the all-new iPhone Duo are now live, and as industry insiders predicted, stock appears to be extremely limited. The iPhone Duo sold out on the Apple Store within minutes, with delivery now expected by January 2027. If you want Apple’s new folding phone to arrive this year, your best bet is to buy it at a mobile carrier such as EE or Vodafone.
The iPhone Duo officially launches on Friday 23 October, but not many people will get their hands on it then given the stock shortages. Still, I’m rounding up the best iPhone Duo pre-order deals from all the major carriers as they go live.

Tesco Mobile is offering the iPhone Duo with 25GB of data for £77.49 a month for Clubcard holders (£79.99 without). The contract lasts 36 months.
There’s no up-front cost and Tesco Mobile freezes Clubcard tariff prices for the length of your contract, saving you £90 over three years and protecting you from mid-contract price hikes.
Mobile carriers promise iPhone Duo handsets will arrive in November
15:00 , Alex LeeIf you’re hoping to get an iPhone Duo before the end of the year, then your best bet is to buy one from a carrier. All the major carriers will deliver in November.
Sky Mobile has been a bit sneaky here because it only says it’ll deliver from 23 October, so there’s no guarantee it’ll arrive on launch day.
O2’s iPhone Duo pre-order deals are live, but are they any good?
14:49 , Alex LeeI’ve finally made it onto the O2 website.
The cheapest deal costs £68.57 per month with 5GB of data and just £30 up-front on a 48-month contract.
It’s not particularly generous on data compared with Vodafone or EE, but it’s cheaper. You can also get up to six months of Disney+ or another Extra included in the deal, plus O2 Priority perks and access to O2 Satellite at no extra cost.
Sadly, delivery is slipping at O2, with the carrier stating delivery will take three weeks.
Vodafone and Sky Mobile are still showing launch day delivery

That said, you can lower the cost to as little as £25 per month by trading in your current phone. You can get up to £855 in trade-in value,
O2 and Vodafone are still down

Carphone Warehouse has the best 24-month iPhone Duo contract
14:00 , Alex LeeCarphone Warehouse has the best-value iPhone Duo deal I’ve spotted so far, especially if you’d prefer a 24-month contract.
Carphone Warehouse has the iPhone Duo with 100GB of data with iD Mobile for £85.99 per month with a £129 up-front cost. It’s a 24-month contract, so you won’t be tied down for years and years. You’ll pay about £2,220 over the course of the contract.
That’s about £221 more than the cost of buying the iPhone Duo on its own, meaning you’re essentially paying just £9.20 per month for 100GB of data.
The iD Mobile plan includes unlimited calls and texts, a data rollover feature and free roaming. You can also get up to £600 when you trade in your current smartphone.
Apple’s iPhone Duo is already showing a three-month shipping delay
13:55 , Alex LeePre-orders have only been open for just over an hour, but it already looks like you might have to wait a while to get your hands on the iPhone Duo if you’re buying it direct from Apple.
I’ve just checked Apple’s website, and the £1,999 256GB iPhone Duo in black is showing a shipping date of 22 January 2027. Yes, January. That’s three whole months away.
I don’t know if there’s a huge wave of demand, or Apple just didn’t make enough iPhone Duos, but you won’t be getting one before Christmas if you opt for the 256GB model at least.
These are EE"s best iPhone Duo pre-order deals
13:40 , Alex LeeAs is tradition, EE has some of the most expensive pre-order deals out of all the carriers, but if you’re set on EE, you can lower the monthly cost by spreading the cost of the handset over 48 months.
The iPhone Duo costs £73.57 per month with 25GB of data and a £30 up-front cost on a 48-month contract. If you want unlimited data, it’ll cost you £76.57 per month, again over 48 months.
You can get up to £624 when you trade in an eligible phone, and BT broadband customers can also get 30 per cent off selected plans.
All plans include access to EE’s 5G+ network, unlimited calls and texts. You can also gift unused data to family members.
Three has some great trade-in valuations if you choose the unlimited plan
13:25 , Alex LeeThree probably has some of the best trade-in prices when it comes to the major carriers, with up to £1,035 when you trade in an eligible handset and take out an unlimited plan. That said, Three is definitely not the cheapest carrier around.
The iPhone Duo costs £74.44 per month with 30GB of data and a £100 up-front cost on a 36-month contract.
If you want unlimited data, it’ll cost you £83.44 per month. It does include roaming in 49 European destinations, however, and an extended warranty.
Sky's cheapest iPhone Duo pre-order deal comes with 1GB of data and costs £48 per month
13:10 , Alex LeeFirst out of the gate is Sky Mobile, and the deals are pretty good if you don’t need a mountain of data.
The cheapest iPhone Duo deal at Sky Mobile costs £48 per month with 1GB of data and a £12 up-front cost.
For £61 per month, you can get a much more generous 75GB of data.
Both contracts are long, mind, with the contract lasting 48 months, though you have the option to upgrade after 36 months.
You can, of course, lower the cost even further by trading in your current handset. You can get up to ££535 by trading in an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
One perk with Sky Mobile is that you can roll unused data into a Sky Piggybank, change your data plan whenever you like and stream on Sky Go and Sky Sports without using your data.
How much does the iPhone Duo cost in the UK?
12:40 , Alex LeeApple’s first foldable iPhone doesn’t come cheap. The iPhone Duo costs £1,999 for the 256GB model, which is £700 more than the iPhone 18 Pro Max and £800 more than the iPhone 18 Pro.

While that sounds like a lot, it’s roughly the same price as other foldable phones. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra starts at £1,899, for example.

Apple’s first-ever foldable iPhone features a 7.6in inner display, a 5.4in outer screen, the A20 Pro chip, two 48MP rear cameras and up to 44 hours of video playback. Apple’s also added split-screen multitasking to the iPhone for the first time.

What iPhone Duo pre-order deals can we expect to see?
12:20 , Alex LeeYou won’t be able to find any deals on the iPhone Duo out right – the best way to get a saving is by trading in your current smartphone. That said, carriers will be launching pre-order deals, bundling the iPhone Duo with data packages and carrier perks, including discounts on your monthly payment or boosted trade-in values.
And while it’s a little tricky to predict the kind of deals we’ll see later this afternoon, given Apple’s never released a foldable we can compare previous deals to, we can look at other similarly priced foldables, such as the £1,799 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, for an idea of what to expect.
The cheapest deal for the Z Fold 8 could be found at Sky Mobile, which was offering the handset from £52 per month with 1GB of data. EE was selling the Z Fold 8 for £49.83 per month with 25GB of data on a 48-month contract. Given the iPhone Duo costs a similar amount, I’m predicting monthly prices to be around the same £50 mark.
Apple reportedly ramps up production of iPhone Duo by 30%
12:10 , Alex LeeInsiders have been warning for months that the iPhone Duo could be in short supply at launch, but Apple has reportedly ramped up production.
A new report from China’s Securities Times claims that Apple has increased production by 30 per cent in anticipation of higher demand.
According to the publication, it had initially ordered 6-7 million units to last the year, but ordered units have now increased to 10 million.
